The concert will take place at Sandford Parish Church, Ranelagh, Co. Dublin at 8pm.
The award-winning choir Dulciana Vocal Ensemble are set to perform their new Arranged by Dulciana concert on Monday, June 26th.
The concert is filled with brand new completely arranged and composed contemporary music by members of Dulciana at Sandford Parish Church, Ranelagh, Co. Dublin.
The Arranged By Dulciana programme features contemporary pieces by acclaimed artists and composers, including Jessie Ware, ABBA, Nick Drake, Florence and the Machine, The Beatles and LOW. Irish musical talent also features strongly in the programme too, with music from Rory Gallagher and the choir’s own Julie Hough.
Founded seven years ago by Eoghan Desmond and Judith Lyons, the Dulciana Vocal Ensemble is a choir that is committed to performing the very best in upper voices music from across the ages.
Dulciana’s mission has been the promotion of music by female composers, both those neglected by history, and those currently making history. The first manifested itself in the form of a concert consisting entirely of music by female composers – five pieces written for Dulciana by composers based in Dublin, alongside music by Rebecca Clarke and Imogen Holst.
Members of the choir include composer, arranger, and violinist Éna Brennan (Dowry), as well as singer-songwriters Rachael Lavelle and Caoimhe Glynn (Reylta).
Doors open for the night at 7:45pm. Tickets are available here.
