The official opening of The Music Show will take place in Trinity College, with an interview with Island records founder Chris Blackwell conducted by our very own Stuart Clark.
Blackwell (pictured) will, in the process, become an honorary patron of Trinity's Philosophical Society – a status also bestowed upon Al Pacino, The Edge, Samuel Beckett and many more. The event takes place on Friday October 3.
Meanwhile, The Coronas are the latest act to be confirmed for The Live Stage at The Music Show, Ireland’s ultimate music experience which comes to the RDS, Dublin on October 4 and 5.
They join a line-up which already features such heavy-hitters as Damien Dempsey, The Blizzards and Ham Sandwich.
Added to the list of panel discussions, debates and workshops are Henry McCullough (Paul McCartney’s Wings/Joe Cocker’s Grease Band), John Hughes (Manager, The Corrs), Dave Robinson (Founder, Stiff Records), Mark Crossingham (MD Universal Music Ireland), composer Ronan Hardiman and Gavin Friday.
The list of exhibitors is fast growing, with all the latest musical instruments, equipment and accessories, state of the art computer technology, sound systems, studios and home entertainment gear on display at The Music Show, which is presented by Hot Press.
Early Bird One-Day and Early Bird Weekend tickets are available now from Ticketmaster for e10 and e15 respectively.
