Ahead of his busy run of summer sets, Skinner shares his festival reflections...
Skinner
So many great things happen at festivals – you can meet other bands and chat to loads of people. The community atmosphere is always strong at Irish festivals, because they give Irish bands a platform to perform alongside so many cool international acts.
My tips for festival goers? Make sure to get enough (1) water and (2) sleep. Make sure you’re not going too hard on Friday. Save your energy. Pacing yourself and getting enough rest is criminally underrated. Also, make good use of the daytime. Loads of stuff goes on before the evening sets, like Beatles tribute bands who are really great. I highly recommend something like that to start your day.
Skinner plays Beyond The Pale, When Next We Meet, Night and Day, Éalú Le Grá and more this summer.
