Ireland's only vinyl pressing plant opens in Co. Kildare
"This isn’t just a manufacturing facility—it’s a commitment to all genres of music, creativity, and sustainability,” says founder Brian Kenny.
Vinyl lovers, rejoice — Ireland just dropped the needle on a major development in the local record production scene.
Anthem Vinyl, the country's only vinyl pressing facility, has officially opened its doors in Clane, Co. Kildare, bringing homegrown record production back to Irish soil. The launch is a game-changer for artists, indie labels and collectors who’ve long dreamed of a local solution to the ever-growing demand for vinyl.
Founded by Brian Kenny, the MO of Anthem Vinyl is to combine cutting-edge pressing technology with a deep love for the format.
"With additional equipment currently on order to expand capacity, each pressing machine can produce a vinyl pressing every thirty seconds, setting a high standard for efficiency, turnover and quality - not only within Ireland - but also for the greater international market", a press statement reads.
It’s the only vinyl record factory in Ireland; the last remaining company, Dublin Vinyl, closed last year. Anthem's first customer was singer-songwriter Declan O'Rourke. His Record Store Day edition of his album Since Kyabram is also the factory’s first release in the Smart Vinyl format – a vinyl record with a QR code linking to additional digital content.
“This isn’t just a manufacturing facility—it’s a commitment to all genres of music, creativity, and sustainability,” says founder Brian Kenny. “New, Irish artists and labels can press their records right here at home, avoiding costly overseas shipping, import duties, and long lead times. We’re excited to be building a sustainable legacy, while delivering world-class vinyl for artists and fans worldwide.”
