Darkwave trio Tiny Magnetic Pets have announced the release of their upcoming EP Harmonious Grey, out May 23, ahead of their fourth album.
The arrangement and lyrics of the EP represent a new direction for the group, deriving inspiration from global instability to create a darker sound. The first single off the project will be ‘Low Places.’
“It's about people that you thought were your friends, or who were supposed to be on your side,” said synth and guitar player Seán Quinn. “That is, until you needed their help. I’m sure everyone has experienced this at some point.”
Their fourth record is being produced by Gareth Jones, known for his work with artists like Nick Cave, Interpol and Depeche Mode. It will be available in late 2025.
