Green Day for Oxegen '05

Further to our announcement that The Killers and Bloc Party will be playing this year's Oxegen festival, hotpress.com understands that Green Day are also set to join the fray.

Recent visitors to Dublin, the announcement of a July 9 appearance in Ireland was posted on the band's website last week, but has since been taken down. Despite this, band sources reveal that a trip to Punchestown is still on the cards.

The live dates section of their website had also listed a T In The Park appearance, Oxegen's parallel festival in Scotland, which will be held on the same weekend.
