Boyzone to drop Gately songs?
Ronan Keating has hinted that Boyzone may drop songs that the late Stephen Gately sang lead vocals on, including some of their biggest chart hits.
Keating has admitted that the reunited group are still finding it difficult to deal with Gately’s death and claims it’s hard to sing Boyzone hits that Gately, who died last October, sang.
Keating said: "Songs like ‘No Matter What’ and ‘Love Me For A Reason’ will never be the same again in a concert or a performance for me, so whether we continue to perform those songs, I don’t know, I don’t know if we can. It’s really, really tough. We have to decide what songs we sing, how we sing them and what we do as a four-piece, it’s just bizarre. It doesn't make sense to us at the minute so we're just trying to figure it out, but we will go forward as best we can. "
Keating says that he and the rest of Boyzone were initially unsure if the band could continue after Gately’s death, but had agreed to record their new album Brother in his honour.
