Túcan, who scored a Top 30 debut album with ‘Aliquot Strings’ this summer, have confirmed a series of December dates.
The group have expanded their line-up for the shows. Joining the original guitar duo Donal Gunne and Pearse Feeney are Keith Kelly on bass and Paul Wehrly on drums.
The band round off the year with a New Year’s Eve celebration in their hometown of Sligo.
“We’ve been playing with Paul and Keith at a number of festivals over the summer such as the Electric Picnic," Donal Gunne told Hot Press. "Having them join us on a full–time basis enables us to flesh out our sound even further and take the band in new directions as we start work on our second album in the new year.”
Sligo native, Paul Werhly has been gigging extensively over the last few years including a stint in the States where he studied jazz drumming. Keith Kelly is also a veteran session musician.
Túcan will join the likes of the 202s, David Kitt and Jinx Lennon as part of the ‘We Love Yule’ fundraiser, in the aid of the Simon Community, in Filmbase this weekend.
