Multicultural group Love Music Hate Racism are launching a new anti-discrimination campaign with a free 'Music For The Open Minded' dance party.
To emphasise the importance of different cultures and their music – from Latin to jazz and Afrobeat to funk – Love Music Hate Racism have have put together DJs Brother Luke, KwaME and Chuck for a night of racial and musical harmony this Friday, April 17 at Le Cirk in Dublin.
According to the group, one out of every 10 people in Ireland is an immigrant with his or her own culture, music and story to tell. Love Music Hate Racism aims to eliminate discrimination and racism in the workplace, at school and at home by gathering people from different places and celebrating their differences.
The organisation already has branches extending through the North and South, and encourages anyone who believes in equality and breaking down barriers to join their efforts.
