Judy Collins plays rare Dublin one-off
The veteran American songstress is bound for Whelan's this month.
Whelan’s promoter Derek Nally has scored a major coup by securing the services of the legendary Judy Collins for a gig on January 28, which will cost you a mere €30 to be at.
It’s a mark of the Seattle singer’s stature that Joan Baez, Leonard Cohen, Chrissie Hynde, Dolly Parton, Rufus Wainwright and Jimmy Webb have all contributed to the Born To The Breed: A Tribute To Judy Collins album, which was released last summer.
Also worth tracking down is Sanity And Grace: A Journey Of Suicide, Survival And Strength, her at times painfully honest autobiography.
