Lionel Richie has announced he will play an extra date on in the O2 in March after his first date sold out on Wednesday

Due to the high demand, the Academy Award-winning songwriter will play an extra date on Saturday, March 14 2009.

Tickets go on sale next Thursday, October 30 at 9am from all ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

Tickets for Lionel's March 16 show in the Odyssey Arena, Belfast are on sale now.
