Two fine home-grown Irish releases, the first of which from The Good Things is an impressively authentic, funky Talking Heads-inspired number that has solid, socially inquisitive lyrics to match the hip-catching melody. Black Heart, meanwhile, unrepentantly and unashamedly deliver a sassy and sexy call and response feminine challenge which grooves smoothly in the country rock tradition and is thoroughly convincing.
