Ladyhawk to make Dublin debut
Black Mountain’s bezzie mates Ladyhawk have announced that they will make their Dublin debut with a date in CrawDaddy this September.
Hailing from Vancouver, they’re described by their totally impartial PR man as being “evocative of the Stones circa Goats Head Soup. Neil Young in his darkest hours and Dinosaur Jr with devilry on their minds.”
That’s us sold! If you want to check them out, their sophomore album, Shots, is out now on Jagjaguwar.
Also CrawDaddy-bound on November 20 is award-winning roots man Fred Eaglesmith who includes Martin Scorsese and James Caan among his most ardent champions. It’ll cost you a few quid to check out the Canadian’s back catalogue because his latest album, Tinderbox, is his seventeenth.
Ladyhawk play CrawDaddy on September 27. Tickets, €14, are available now from the usual outlets.
