Scanlan songs in Spike Lee award film
Galway artist Emmet Scanlan has written two tracks for the short film Without Words, which won the Spike Lee award at the Cannes film festival.
Two songs written by Emmet Scanlan, and recorded by his band Emmet Scanlan and What the Good Thought, are featured on the soundtrack of the short film Without Words, which scooped the Spike Lee award at the recent Cannes festival.
Brian Deane, who wrote the movie, was in Cannes himself to accept the award from Lee.
The Scanlan songs in the film are 'On The Tracks' and 'Sweet Lady Life', and both will feature on the band's album, due for independent release later in the year.
This was not the first time Scanlan and Deane have collaborated, as they once worked together in Neachtains Bar in Galway!
