Little Party People give kids a chance to dance
A baby disco in the Button Factory this weekend aims unite parents and toddlers on the dance floor.
Kids are getting a chance to party in the Button Factory this Saturday (May 25), with 'Little Party People' – a parent and child dance event.
Babies can boogie with their mums and dads to music from '70s, '80s and '90s.
Following the success of such initiatives at the St Patrick’s Festival Baby Rave, the event aims to include parents and children in each other’s play times. Organisers say “it's trying to bridge the gap between what parents like doing and what's out there for kids to do because the more time you spend with your kids the better.”
Preparations have been made for the influx of hungry babies and dirty nappies with organic smoothies and snacks for the kids, a place for breast feeding and a fully equipped changing area.
Bored parents are also catered for with their own “place to hang” while children have the chance to dress up in a chill-out area.
