Ghost Of An American Airman: "King of Nothing" (Hollywood Records)
When it comes to the kind of unpretentious tautly-structured guitar music which G.O.A.A.A. epitomise, then there are few bands who consistently maintain their standards like these chaps. However, while such consistency never leads to indifferent unpredictability, I sometimes feel that Ghost' could possibly take the same kind of risks with their audience as, say, Nirvana. Intelligent, brash and exciting music that it is, commercial success may still elude them unless they add that extra texture to make them more seductive to a wider audience.
