Gallows stressed ahead of Dublin gig
Frontman with UK punk quintet Gallows, who play Dublin this week, last night admitted that he’d considered leaving the band as a result of stress.
Gallows lead vocalist Frank Carter told fans at a Sheffield gig that the band’s recent fame has put them under incredible pressure.
“I'm going to level with you guys, I was out there crying before because I don't know if I can do this any more,” he said onstage last night.
But a quick call to his mum and Carter was set right: “I was on the phone to my mum and I said, ‘I've had enough of this shit’. She said to me, ‘You're just like me, you care too much’. It's too important for us to quit.”
Now back on track, Gallows play the Voodoo Lounge in Dublin this Thursday, June 14. Tickets are €14.
