Gaeity Theatre closes for renovation
Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre closes on February 4 for a whopping €9.5 million facelift.
€7.5m of that is in the form of a Ministry of Arts, Sports and Tourism grant, with the remainder coming from theatre owners Denis and Caroline Desmond.
The main auditorium will re-open in June with a run of Riverdance.
The good news for party animals is that the part of the building, which hosts the venue’s late night clubs, will remain open throughout.
