Jem Finer's 'Score For A Hole In The Ground' draws inspiration from the water chimes of Japan
Pogues founder member Jem Finer has been shortlisted for the New Music Award, the posh person’s version of the Mercurys which is worth £50,000 to the winner.
Inspired by the water chimes of Kyoto, Japan, Finer’s Score For A Hole In The Ground involves bowls of different sizes, water, acoustic tubes, brasss horns and all sorts of other strange instrumentation.
