Calexico announce Vicar St. gig

Calexico continue to make complete cults of themselves on April 15 when they swing by Dublin's Vicar St.

Taking their name from a small town that straddles the California/Mexico border, their ranks include Giant Sand and Friends Of Dean Martinez members Joey Burns and John Covertino.

Although bands like them aren't supposed to have mainstream top 20 hits, they did last year when their rather splendid cover of Love's 'Along Again On' went supernova in Ireland and the UK.
