Not only can you vote your fave new band onto the Witnness bill via Today FM - you can do the very same via BBC Radio 1, whose Northern Ireland Sessions are also bringing the power to the people
UPDATE: Not to be outdone by their southern counterparts Today FM, BBC Radio 1's Sessions In Northern Ireland are also searching for a band to add to the Witnness 2002 bill.
"Our show is all about championing new music in Northern Ireland," says the Sessions' Colin Murray. "The chance for a new band to play at Witnness in conjunction with Radio 1 airplay is an unbelievable opportunity – it's the type of break that would get any band off to a flying start."
The Fairyhouse slot is open to all-comers who should send a CD/DAT/Minidisc and up-to-date biog and photo to The Sessions In Northern Ireland Witnness Competition, BBC Broadcasting House, Ormeau Avenue, Belfast BT2 8HQ before midday on Monday June 24th.
