David Rooney to play the Hot Spot Music Club

The songwriter will be taking his band and his art work to Greystones for a visual art/music show.

This weekend on March 18 at 8pm, David Rooney will be launching his new album and exhibiting some of his latest artwork all in one show at the Hot Spot Music Club in Greystones. The performance will feature the full band from his debut album, Bound Together, including Ruba Shamshoum on vocals, drummer Conor Guilfoyle, Jay Wilson on keyboards and bassist Bazz Rycraft.

For those who are more familiar with David's contributions to the visual art world, there will be a showcase of his work from the series 1916 - Portraits & Lives. The series of 42 original portraits was published by the Royal Irish Academy, and will be on display soon in the Pearse Museum in Rathfarnham.

Tickets will sell for 9 euro at the door. Listen to David's single, "Ladder to the Sun" below.
