Hot for 2020: Irish Artists: Sinead O'Brien
Possessing grace and grit in equal measure, the Limerick poet has built up a formidable reputation on both sides of the Irish Sea for her unique blend of spoken word delivery and post-punk principles. 2019 saw the former fashion designer sign to London-based Chess Club Records; make her Irish debut at Electric Picnic; release an acclaimed 10” single; and hit the road with old pals whenyoung and Australian psych-rockers Pond. Already hotly tipped by UK tastemakers, and a standout this month at Eurosonic, expect O’Brien to soar in 2020.
