KNEECAP banned from advertising on London Tube
"How petty can political policing and interference get," KNEECAP wrote.
In a statement posted across their social media today, KNEECAP revealed that a recent poster advertising their upcoming Wembley gig has been banned from the London Tube.
The poster in question shows the band's name, logo and details of their show at OVO Arena Wembley in London on September 18.

According to KNEECAP, the poster was rejected because "it is likely to cause widespread or serious offence to reasonable members of the public on account of the product or service being advertised, the content or design of the advertisement, or by way of implication."
The band said this was the first time they have faced trouble advertising on the Tube, and called it "petty".
"How petty can political policing and interference get," KNEECAP wrote.
"After using the tube to advertise loads of times for gigs, records and our movie, all without issue."
KNEECAP pointed at their outspoken support for Palestine as the reason for the rejection, and remarked at the double standards compared to those who support Israel.
"Speak out against genocide and they'll use every single angle they can to silence you," KNEECAP wrote.
"Join the IOF, murder kids, fly to London and nothing happens - you'll be welcomed and applauded."
The news comes amid the trial of KNEECAP member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, known as Mo Chara, who faces charges for allegedly displaying a Hezbollah flag during a London concert in November 2024.
KNEECAP argued that the charges are politically motivated due to their frequent criticism of Israel's occupation of Gaza.
Ó hAnnaidh was initially due in court on June 18 but was released on unconditional bail.
In support of Ó hAnnaidh, Love Music Hate Racism organised an August 20 demonstration outside of Westminster Magistrates' Court.
