Hot Press Playlist: The Road to Electric Picnic 2022
Listen to our specially curated Electric Picnic playlist below, featuring: Arctic Monkeys, Megan Thee Stallion, Dermot Kennedy, Glass Animals, Kojaque and more.
The first batch of acts has just been announced for the Electric Picnic festival after two years of cancellations, with an incredible mix of homegrown talent and major UK and US players on the bill. While you're waiting for another six months to pass until you're at the front of the stages, Hot Press has curated the perfect EP playlist.
Whether it's indie/rock songwriting legends like Bright Eyes and Pixies or chart-toppers Glass Animals, Anne-Marie and Wolf Alice; we've got it all covered.
A record 70,000 festival-goers will be in daily attendance on the Stradbally Hall Estate, with Dermot Kennedy, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys & Megan The Stallion, Picture This, Fontaines D.C. and Snow Patrol confirmed as the heavy-hitters this morning.
Irish talent is more than represented at Electric Picnic, with performances expected from post-punk mainstays Fontaines D.C.; Cork singer Lyra; Limerick act Denise Chaila; country queen CMAT; Dundalk shoegazers Just Mustard; 'atmosfolk duo' Saint Sister; Dublin rapper/producer duo Kean Kavanagh and Kojaque; rising indie-pop stars Amy Michelle and Lucy Blue, plus poet/producer For Those I Love.
Other names announced for the festival include cult noise-rap favourite JPEGMAFIA, Japanese/American rocker Rina Sawayama, rapper Little Simz and post-punk grouches Sleaford Mods, among a full line-up to be announced.
It's set to be one of the most incredible Irish festivals of the decade, so why not build up anticipation even further?
