Hot Press Archive Article of the Week: 14th November
The first 150 of an unprecedented 3,000 brand-new apartments went on sale in Dublin today, the LEAST expensive of which will set you back a popsicle-cool Eur 290,000.
If you don't think that's funny, the punchline is that they haven't even been built yet. That's because they're at Spencer Dock, the most controversial new development in Dublin planning history since, er, the last one and - so the developers hope - your new favourite neighbourhood.
With virtually no affordable mid-price housing, few cultural amenities locked down and an abundance of identikit buildings in store, it's far from perfect: but, as our Archive Article Of The Week reminds us, at least their original plan didn't go ahead. Shudder:
