Having been picked by Cork’s Red FM as their ‘A New Local Hero’ winner, the emerging pop artist is set for big things this year. Marking herself out with the ability to rein in dulcet soul vocals on a bedrock of lo-fi, chilled beats, the singer-songwriter delivers self-assured, soulful R&B with commanding ease. In terms of inspiration, Ruby is heavily inspired by her contemporaries Snoh Aalegra, Sinéad Harnett and Jorja Smith.
