Your Guide to the Heineken® GREENLIGHT May Bank Holiday Weekend: featuring TOMORA, Mike Skinner, Madra Salach, and more
Heineken® GREENLIGHT kicks off in Dublin this weekend with a genre-spanning array of international and local acts. Here's your complete guide to a jam-packed weekend.
Heineken® GREENLIGHT is almost here. The major new music platform, presented by Heineken Ireland, brings international acts and hotly-tipped homegrown talent to Irish cities across bank holiday weekends - with Dublin kicking things off in style from April 30 to May 3.
A whopping 35 acts will perform across 10 venues in the capital. Here's your definitive guide to the festivities:
Thursday, April 30
One of the most forward-thinking electro-storytellers in Ireland or anywhere, Sloucho has earned plaudits for weaving together everything from UK garage, dembow, and rap into one of the most intriguing projects around. He headlines a riveting evening of experimental electronic music at the Sound House, which also includes Dingle-born Caolan Ryan's blend of emotional songwriting and dancefloor energy, the atmospheric shoegaze of Officer John, and bone-shaking electro-noise-punks Yard.
Across the river at Mary's Bar, fast-rising trad-punk troubadours Madra Salach bring their slow-burning, soul-baring songs to what promises to be one of the weekend's most intimate affairs.

You better like distortion if you're heading to The Workman's Club in Temple Bar. SPRINTS, fresh off their barnstorming record All That Is Over, headline a charged punk night alongside aptly named rock trio Really Good Time and the equally well-named Adore, who offer a delicious brand of slacker garage punk.
A short walk away at the Button Factory, TOMORA - the new duo of Norwegian pop star AURORA and Chemical Brothers legend Tom Rowlands - headline what promises to be a monumental night, capturing the ethos of Heineken® GREENLIGHT by bringing superstars to intimate stages. They'll be blaring bangers from their cracking new LP COME CLOSER. Rowlands also plays a DJ set, as do BBC stalwart January Winters and eclectic selector Efa O'Neill.

The multi-floored Wigwam on Abbey Street opens its arms to Mike Skinner of The Streets fame, who'll be getting behind the decks. As will Swedish producer and lo-fi pioneer DJ Seinfeld, who's career has seen him grow into one of dance music's most distinctive voices. Also laying down grooves is a slew of exciting Irish acts including Rory Sweeney, DJ Egg, Little O, Surka, and Neil Flynn.
Over at Pygmalion, veteran UK duo Basement Jaxx (DJ Set) will swap festival stages for the dancefloor, with support from OneCanChan of Dublin's Shimmer collective and Coille.
At 4 Dame Lane meanwhile, a cracking all-female bill is spearheaded by Dublin-born DJ, producer, label owner and cornerstone of Irish rave culture Saoirse, who's joined by beloved fixtures Cáit and Óir.

Pawn Shop, one of the capital's most beloved churches of techno, welcomes London's Sherelle. The cult hero and influential champion of jungle-infused, high-speed club music who has led a generation of dancers to tempos of 160bpm and beyond. Also on the bill are Shy One, Chord Memory, JWY, and more TBA.
Street 66 on Parliament Street hosts Horse Meat Disco, the renowned London queer party collective comprising Luke Howard, Severino Panzetta, James Hillard, and Jim Stanton, who have been revitalising disco, house, and funk since 2004. They're joined by acclaimed Chilean-born, Dublin-based artist Vatican Jail, with further names to be announced.
Rounding out the weekend, O'Regan's hosts an alternative hip-hop showcase led by Jobstown wordsmith Curtisy, who is unmatched in capturing the essence of his upbringing and city. He's joined by his good pal, Waterford rapper Lil Skag, who will no doubt be matching him bar for bar.
