The first Heineken® GREENLIGHT bank holiday takeover will be Dublin in May, before heading to Cork in June, and then onto another city in August. Check out the full Dublin lineup below.
Heineken Ireland have announced Heineken® GREENLIGHT: a major new music platform taking over bank holiday weekends throughout 2026.
Major international acts and hotly-tipped homegrown talent will be filling bank holidays with 'pinch me' gigs across Irish cities, starting with Dublin over the May bank holiday weekend.
From April 30 to May 3, over 35 acts will perform across 10 venues in the capital, headlined by TOMORA, the new duo of Norwegian pop superstar AURORA and Tom Rowlands of legendary big beat pioneers The Chemical Brothers, who'll be taking over the Button Factory on May 1.
Other must-see shows include DJ sets from Mike Skinner at Wigwam and legendary dance duo Basement Jaxx at Pygmalion on May 2, and an intimate gig from fast-rising trad-punk troubadours Madra Salach in Mary's Bar on April 30.
Music lovers can also look forward to special shows in special venues from the likes of Sloucho, Yard, SPRINTS, DJ Seinfeld, Curtisy, Horse meat Disco, Saoirse, Sherelle, and many, many more. See the full list of performers, venues, and dates below.
The first headliner for the June bank holiday weekend has also been revealed, with Inhaler bringing Heineken® GREENLIGHT to Cork City (further details to be announced soon).
The event was launched at Heineken® GREENLIGHT Stephen's Green shopfront today, with Dublin-native and BBC 6 DJ Deb Grant, international DJ sensation SAOIRSE, and comedian Madison Cawley in attendance.
“As a music fan, this is exactly the kind of experience you want, being that close to the performers, in a room that’s buzzing with excitement," said Grant. "Not to mention it will give bank holidays in Ireland a whole new meaning. It’s going to be electric, and I’m so excited to be on board for the journey.”
“There’s nothing like a packed Irish venue with an engaged crowd," added Saoirse. "It’s raw, it’s real and the memories stay with you. Heineken® GREENLIGHT is creating those moments, where the connection between the crowd and the artist is everything.”
Heineken® GREENLIGHT follows in the footsteps of Heineken's major festival partnerships, as well as iconic live experiences like Green Spheres, Green Energy, and Sound Atlas.
“Heineken® has a long history of supporting music culture in Ireland, and Heineken® GREENLIGHT marks an exciting evolution of that commitment," Fiona Curtin, Marketing Director at Heineken Ireland commented at the launch today "We know from our research that Irish consumers today crave social connection and a sense of being part of shared experiences. We’re proud to bring global and local talent into the heart of our cities and to more intimate, immersive spaces creating high-quality live music experiences that fans can truly connect with.”
After the first bank holiday takeover in Dublin in May, Heineken® GREENLIGHT’ will head to Cork in June, and then onto another city in August. All events will be ticketed and open to the public.
