Young Thug announces mixtape release date

The ever-prolific Young Thug has announced yet another mixtape.
Thugger posted on Instagram to promote his new project Jeffrey with the caption ""8-16"", seeming to indicate an August 16 release date. That means the tape would come out on his twenty-fifth birthday.

Jeffrey will be his third mixtape this year, following February's I'm Up and March's Slime Season 2. He's teased a number of tracks from the project on Instagram.
The release will be his final mixtape before he drops his debut studio album, Hi-Tunes. Young Thug has already released fifteen mixtapes, one of which - Barter 6 - had a vinyl release.
