Yat-Kha to debut in Ireland
Russian quartet Yat-Kha open their Irish account next month
Tired of '60s retreads and "The" bands? Well, we can guarantee you've never heard quite anything quite like Yat-Kha who play a brace of Irish shows at the Half Moon, Cork (November 5) and Whelan's, Dublin (6).
Hailing from a far flung corner of the Russian Federation, the quartet marry traditional 'khoomei' throat-singing to an avant garde eclecticism that Frank Zappa would have been proud of.

They come armed with a new album, Tuva Rock, which was recorded in France with Placebo, Nick Cave and Cure man Paul Corkett.
