Tricky has announced his new album in six years, Different When It's Silent, set to be released July 17 via False Idols.
The Bristol trip-hop pioneer's upcoming record is his first solo project since his 2020 album Fall to Pieces.
Alongside the news, Tricky released the single ‘Out of Place’, featuring his longtime collaborator Marta Złakowska.
Tricky has also announced a UK and European tour, which includes a show in Dublin's Vicar Street on May 12.
During the past six years, the musician has worked on a few projects, such as the collaborative album Lonely Guest, the 2024 record Fifteen Days under the alias Theis Thaws with Parisian producer Mike Theis, and last year's joint release Out The Way with Złakowska.
Born Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws, Tricky began his career as a guest vocalist on Massive Attack's 1991 record Blue Lines and on Protection, released in 1994.
In 1995, he released his debut solo album Maxinquaye, which earned him an NME Award for Best Album and a nomination for the 1995 Mercury Prize.
