Willi Carlisle announces gigs in Belfast and Kilkenny

American folk singer Willi Carlisle has announced a UK/EU tour.

His Irish tour dates include a show at the Deer's Head in Belfast on May 2, 2026 and a performance at Kyteler's Inn as part of the Kilkenny Roots Festival on May 3, 2026. The 'Higher Lonesome' singer will also perform throughout the UK, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland and Norway

The Arkansas-based musician released his latest album, Winged Victory in June. His songs often cover topics such class struggles, drug abuse, and queer identity - a topic often excluded from the American folk-country scene.

Carlisle most recently performed in Ireland in 2023, with shows in Dublin and Belfast. He has previously performed alongside Dublin band DUG, with the Americana duo providing support to Carlisle on several US tour dates in 2024.
