Willi Carlisle announces new album produced by Tyler Childers

Willi Carlisle has announced a new album, The Universal Bubba, which will be released November 6.

The double LP, 17-track album is produced by American country singer-songwriter, Tyler Childers.

The two artists met during Childers' The Mule Pull Tour in 2024 and 2025 across North America and Australia.

New single 'The Mason Jar at the Center of the World' has been released ahead of the album and was written by the Kansas native while playing in Australia with Childers.

The country-folk singer recorded the double album over the course of two weeks with Childers' touring band at a New Orleans home studio.

"It touches on funk, it touches on Americana, Cajun, old-time, and experimental music," Carlisle said in his press release.

"It feels like getting drunk at the Civil War reenactment, or cruising at the cattle auction, or doing Molly at the square dance. It's the first time I've ever used synthesizers and double electric guitars."

The album will be supported by a tour with almost 40 shows across North America from September to December, 2026.
