Whelan's Gig For Haiti
The names aren't confirmed as yet, but we've got the feeling that this has the makings of a memorable show.
October 13 will see Whelan's, Dublin, hold a special benefit night for a very good cause, HAVEN - Building Hope In Haiti. We might not have a list of those playing as yet, but with the venue promising a "legendary night", it seems the €15 admission fee will be something of a steal. All proceeds will go directly to building homes in Haiti for those still suffering the after effects of the 2010 earthquake.
Though the line-up is top secret, if their silhouette, Reservoir Dogs style poster is anything to go by, you can hazard a guess at who's playing. We'll leave you to make your own mind up, but a quick debate in the HP office threw up these names (from left to right): Declan O'Rourke, Mundy, Glen Hansard and Paddy Casey.
Only time will tell, but it seems a safe bet that there will be established singer-songwriters galore.
