Ahead of a major run of Irish tour dates – in support of their extraordinary new album, Good Bones, out this month – Bell X1 have been announced for a special one-off Windmill Live show in Dublin for Hot Press readers and fans, on Thursday, November 26.
People should apply for tickets on the form below – and tickets will be offered to the lucky recipients in due course.
Taking place in the Townhall at 1WML, an iconic structure at the heart of the Windmill QTR, this unique treat for the Hot Press faithful is the latest in a line of acclaimed gigs, following performances from Villagers, Damien Dempsey, James Vincent McMorrow, LYRA, Gavin James, Lisa Hannigan, The Coronas, Hothouse Flowers, The Academic, Moncrieff and more, at one of Dublin’s best known rock ‘n’ roll coordinates.
This upcoming Windmill Live event will serve as a special opportunity for Bell X1 fans to see the Irish band play what may well be regarded as their ultimate artistic statement – their ninth album, Good Bones – in sequence – with other highlights from their storied career completing what promises to be an extraordinary set, on a unique occasion.
The album, out November 13, received a stunning nine-star review from John Walshe in Hot Press, making it a clear contender for Album of the Year. Recorded in upstate New York with producer Josh Kaufman of Bonny Light Horseman, the sessions were shaped by the loss of Bell X1's friend and live bandmate Glenn Keating, who died in March 2026.
In addition to the new songs, you can also look forward to hearing some of the band's most beloved hits at this special free event – which comes ahead of a busy run of Bell X1 shows, including three nights at Vicar Street (November 27 [sold-out], Nov 28 [sold-out] & Nov 29). Fans are advised to grab the remaining tickets for Vicar Street while they can. Clearly Bell X1 are on a roll!
Bell X1's upcoming Irish tour will also include shows at the Savoy in Cork (December 4 & 5), the Nerve Centre in Derry (Dec 11), Mandela Hall in Belfast (Dec 12), and the Gleneagle Club in Killarney (Dec 19), with tickets already in heavy demand.
Considered one of the country's finest live bands, Bell X1 is made up of Paul Noonan, Dave Geraghty and Dominic Phillips. Formed in 1999, they have released eight studio albums – four of which having been nominated for the Choice Music Prize.
This Windmill Live show will serve as an opportunity to catch a world-renowned Irish act in an utterly unique setting – so don't miss out!
