Westlife and Girls Aloud confirmed for Childline Concert
Westlife and Girls Aloud are among the artists donating their services for the Childline charity concert
Westlife and Girls Aloud have been confirmed to headline the Cheerio’s Childline Concert, which takes place at Dublin’s Point Theatre on Sunday, January 25.
Now in its seventh year, the annual fundraising event is expected to raise over €200,000 for Ireland’s biggest children’s charity, Childline.
The RTE-televised event will be hosted by Westlife’s Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden, and will also feature performances by Luke Thomas, D-Vine and No Way Out (among others yet to be confirmed).
The Childline Conert has raised over €1.2m over the years, due in large part to pro-bono performances by such artists as Robbie Williams, SClub7, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, All Saints, Sugababes, Samantha Mumba and Boyzone.
Tickets are priced at €35.00 and are on sale now from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
