Week Three In Guinness Battle Of The Bands
Our Thursdays Competition Updated
We are into week three of the Guinness 'Our Thursdays' competition, where one lucky band will get to play with Snow Patrol at St. James' Gate on Arthur's Day (Sep. 23).
Up, down and across Ireland tonight, two bands will battle it out in each of the specially selected 'Our Thursdays' venues, where the audience members will get to vote for their favourite artist. The winning act will then move forward to the finals on August 5.
There have been few changes made to the origional schedule. Galway city will not be holding their heats tonight July 29, but they have been postponed until August 5, due to the Galway races. Bar 903, Cellar Bar, Fibber McGees, Kellys, and the Blue Note will now host the final heats on August 12.
Rody Boland's pub in Dublin will be the only venue to have three bands playing, and Teach Dolman in Co. Carlow will no longer be taking part in the competition.
