Watch the new Battles video for 'Ice Cream'
Forbidden Fruit Festival act release new album in June
New York group Battles' first single in four years, 'Ice Cream' has been accompanied with a supremely weird, imagery-laden video which plays half like a surrealist American Apparel advert and half like a '70s throwback art film.
Either way, it's an altogether enjoyable clip and acts as a solid teaser for the band's second album Gloss Drop, out at the start of June. The record features guests such as electronic legend Gary Numan, Matias Aguayo, Kazu Makino of Blonde Redhead and Yamantaka Eye. Meanwhile Battles also play the Forbidden Fruit Festival on June 5 at IMMA, joining Caribou and Aphex Twin on the Sunday line-up.
Check out the ever-so NSFW clip of 'Ice Cream', directed by upcoming Spanish director Canada.
