WATCH: New Moz teaser
Yet another spoken-word clip as first single 'Istanbul' drops stateside.
He might not be on Twitter, but Morrissey has most definitely been speaking to his adoring public of late. As we ready ourselves for World Peace Is None Of Your Business, Mozza has been slipping out a number of spoken-word pieces to accompany tracks from the LP, which he says will be a much-delayed follow-up to Viva Hate.
We've had the title track's teaser, as well as 'The Bullfighter Dies', now we have a clip for new single 'Istanbul'. Check it out below.
While we make do with that, the actual song itself dropped last night in the US. Morrissey would do well to not only remember he's a proud Manc, but also his Irish roots when deciding which side of the Atlantic gets to hear new material first next time (we're not envious or anything).
If you want to be cheeky, The 405 have it. It's an Eastern-tinged stomper fans of the singer will surely lap up.
As it happens, the album proper drops here on Friday July 11, with Americans having to wait until the following Monday. So we will, as a Partridge once said, have the last laugh.
