A showreel from the 20 year-old Irish star’s acclaimed Greatest Divas Live show landed in the Hot Press inbox; we thought we should share it
Over the past two years, Melanie McCabe has emerged as one of the young Irish female singers with the most talent – and definitively the most potential. For anyone who doubted it, her recent Greatest Divas Live show at the National Concert Hall provided the ultimate riposte: here was a singer of superb command and range taking on the work of some of the greatest names in entertainment history, including Dionne Warwick, Nina Simone and Aretrha Franklin.
Now a showreel from the show has been issue by Melanie’s manager, Pat Egan. It is as good away as any of introducing you to the unique talents of a young Irish singer with the ability to go all the way. Without further ado, why not have a look for yourself, as Melanie – costume changes and all – delivers ‘Walk On By’, ‘Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’, ‘Natural Woman’ and Cindi Lauper’s ‘True Colours’.
