WATCH: The Lady in the Van trailer

If a vagrant old lady pulled up in a broken down van on your nice suburban street, would you offer her a nice place to park it in your driveway? Maybe for a few days if you're feeling generous, surely not for fifteen years. But that's just what playwright Alan Bennett did. After adapting the strange tale into an award-winning play, Bennett has now written a charming looking movie adaptation starring Maggie Smith as the titular vagabond.

The Lady in the Van also stars Alex Jennings and Jim Broadbent. The film is set for a UK release of November 13, meaning we'll probably get it in Ireland around that time. Till then, see the new trailer below!
