WATCH: Fleet Foxes share new video for 'Featherweight'
The Fleet Foxes visual was made using stop-motion animation.
Fleet Foxes have shared an animated video for their Shore song 'Featherweight'. Directed by Sean Pecknold and animated by Eileen Kohlhepp (Robot Chicken and Anomalisa), the stop-motion visual follows a bird's migration.
"When I made the first Fleet Foxes video using clay stop-motion, I fell in love with the tactile quality of the technique and never looked back," Pecknold said in a statement. "There is something really special about creating animations in the real world. The process is more physical and more immediate than clicking away at a mouse and getting red-eyed."
During the summer, Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold participated in the latest Big Red Machine album, alongside Anaïs Mitchell and Lisa Hannigan.
