WATCH: Biig Piig chats new album, the Irish music scene and rave culture

Hot Press sat down for a chat with songwriter and local dance favourite Biig Piig ahead of her very special Guinness Lovely Day For A Visit show at the fabled Storehouse earlier this summer.

The globetrotting artist discussed the undeniable strength of the Irish music scene, her joy at returning to perform in Ireland and what we can expect from her upcoming record, before she took the stage to nail a typically energetic performance.

Since her first single ‘Crush’n’ landed in  2017, the Cork-born singer and rapper has been steadily building an international fanbase, drawing in listeners her hypnotic grooves and inimitable voice - as evident on her Bubblegum mixtape which dropped last year.

It was another busy and music-filled summer at St James' Gate- the home of Guinness- with Biig Piig's appearance followed by internationally-acclaimed producer and DJ Armand Van Helden, who took over on July 18.
