Watch: Alex Turner Channel Bowie With 'Moonage Daydream' Cover
It was part of The Last Shadow Puppet's Saturday set.
The Last Shadow Puppet's took to Glastonbury's Pyramid stage on Saturday evening armed with a cover of David Bowie's classic track 'Moonage Daydream'. Beneath the festival's Aladdin Sane themed tribute to him the band performed the track in the middle of their set.
The song was first released by Bowie in 1971 and was rerecorded for the June 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. During the set Turner delivered a rousing vocal performance along with Miles Kane on lead guitar. They weren't the only band to pay homage to the real life Starman with Madness performing his song 'Kooks' from 1971's Hunky Dory.
Alex Turner was also caught dancing to his heart's content at the side of the stage during Tame Impala's set. Check out his moves and the cover below.
