Huartan announce headline gig in Dublin's Button Factory
This performance will mark the bands first ever headline gig in Dublin.
Huartan have announced they will be playing in the Button Factory on October 30, as their first headline gig in Dublin.
Formed in 2023, Huartan follow a blend of Irish traditional music and electronica.
Emerging from the Gaeltacht quarter of West Belfast, Huartan is composed of Catriona Ní Ghribín, Múlú, and Stiofán Ó Luachrán. The trio first bonded while playing tradional sessions in the Hawthorn Bar in West Belfast, where the ideas that would become Huartan were just conversations between tunes.
"This Samhain feels like an important moment for us", said Ní Ghribín. "Dublin has always shown huge love to Huartan, so to finally bring our first headline show there and in the Button Factory of all places feels very special. We're planning something immersive and otherworldly; a show that reflects the spirit of Samhain and the energy that has shaped Huartan and our live performances over the last few years".
Since their formation, Huartan have been awarded the NI Music Prize Live Act of the Year in 2024, in the same year they won the Amhrán na Laoch Irish language song competition with their song, 'Bean Udaí Thall'. Most recently, they were awarded the BBC Introducing NI Artist of the year in 2025.
