WATCH: Abbacaxi shares animated video for 'Used To Keep Me Warm'
The stunning video was animated by Des Garvey.
Dublin-based vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist Abbacaxi has released an animated video for his third single 'Used To Keep Me Warm'.
Drawing influence from artists like Moon Boots, Kartell, Little Dragon, Detroit Swindle & Coeo, 'Used To Keep Me Warm’ was written shortly after a break-up. “I was quitting cigarettes around the same time so I was craving a lot of things. It’s as much a break-up song about a person as it is about breaking an addiction”, says the singer-songwriter of the smooth, groove-laden house track.
“I was playing around a lot with mixing guitar and synth sounds," he continues. "I find it fun to make my guitar sound like a synth, as I express myself more comfortably on the guitar but I love the deep and watery sounds of synthesizers.”
Abbacaxi began his performing career as a teen playing rock and funk, but later found a love of electronic and house music, crafting songs heavily rooted in those beats.
