Veteran singer-songwriter Tommy Keyes has delivered a song of hope in troubled times. Inspired by the freedom of birds in a human lockdown, 'Any Other World' is an anthem for today – and also our Hot Press Track Of The Day.

Keyes brought together some Ireland's most talented young musicians. Featuring Robert Molumby (Ana Gog, Let's Set Sail), Ellen O'Mahony (ELKIN) and Martin McDonnell, the track was written and produced by Keyes himself, and engineered by Michael Heffernan in Hellfire Studios and mastered by Fergal Davis. The video was filmed and edited by Peter Salisbury, and the single will be officially released on Thursday (January 28th).

“The weather was glorious in the first lockdown last May," Keyes explains. "Every day I would sit in warm sunshine watching birds in flight all around me, and contrasting their freedom with our confinement. A song emerged, which I originally put out on a Facebook stream and this led to a performance on a TV show. I put the song away, not thinking for a moment that it could still be as relevant nearly 9 months later”.
