Tony Hadley leaves Spandau Ballet
Former frontman announces sudden break from 80's pop band
Spandau Ballet frontman, Tony Hadley, announced his departure from the English group via Twitter yesterday. Hadley’s announcement was rather cryptic and seemed to hint at a tumultuous ending.

The 80’s pop band followed up with an official statement on their website, stating, “Much to our frustration, Tony had made it clear in September 2016 that he didn’t want to work with the band anymore. This has not changed and 2015 was the last time we were able to perform or work with him. So we have now made the decision to move on as a band.”
Spandau Ballet reformed in 2009, and made a successful world tour in 2015. What exactly Hadley’s exit will mean for the band remains unclear, but at least we can appreciate the band’s former glory. This much is true.
