Having released the single 'Lights Of New York City' in June, Smith's latest track 'Life Is For Living' is out now.
“Life is for living, anyway you want, life is for living, live it till it’s gone... Iain and I stumbled across this line together," Smith said of the song.
"It felt like an empowering thing to say, and it spoke to the dreamlike, hopeful nature of the song."
After more than 20 years as the frontman of the rock band Editors and two albums with Smith & Burrows, the 44-year-old is now embarking on a solo career, describing the move as “motivated by a desire to reconnect with the raw, acoustic beginnings of his songwriting.”
